Egg Yolk Paint

Separate one egg yolk into a small bowl, being careful to remove any egg white residue.

Add 1/4 teaspoon of water to the egg yolk and whisk together until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Add one drop of food coloring to the egg yolk mixture and stir thoroughly until the color is evenly distributed throughout.

Transfer the egg yolk paint to a small container or palette if using for painting cookies or other edible decorations.

Use a fine paintbrush or edible marker to apply the egg yolk paint directly onto cooled baked goods, creating decorative designs as desired.

Allow the painted surface to dry for 5–10 minutes before serving or storing the decorated items.
