Gather all dried spices, herbs, and seasonings in a clean, dry workspace. Ensure containers are airtight and free from any moisture or contaminants that could affect the seasoning mix.

Measure out the chili powder (4 tablespoons), onion powder (2 tablespoons), garlic powder (2 tablespoons), ground cumin (2 tablespoons), paprika (4 teaspoons), dried oregano (4 teaspoons), and crushed red pepper flakes (1 teaspoon for mild heat, up to 3 teaspoons for spicier blend) into a medium mixing bowl.

Add the natural brown sugar (1 tablespoon), arrowroot (1 tablespoon), and sea salt (4 teaspoons, adjusting to taste preference) to the bowl.

Whisk all ingredients together thoroughly with a wire whisk or fork for 1-2 minutes, breaking up any lumps and ensuring the brown sugar, arrowroot, and salt are evenly distributed throughout the spice blend.

Transfer the finished seasoning mix to an airtight glass jar or sealed container and store in a cool, dark place away from heat and direct sunlight.

Label the container with the date and contents for easy identification. This seasoning mix keeps well for up to 3 months when stored properly.

To use, add 2-3 tablespoons of the seasoning mix to 1 pound of ground meat along with 1/4 cup water, stirring well and simmering for 5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly and the flavors are fully incorporated.
