Warming Quinoa Porridge
This is a great (gluten-free) alternative to oatmeal — you’ll get an extra kick of protein from the quinoa!

- ½ cup
- + 2 tbsp unsweetened¼ cupvanilla almond milk
- 2 tbsp
- agave nectar (could also use maple syrup or honey)1 tsp
- ½ tsp
- handful chopped or slivered almonds1 unit
- choice of fruit (strawberries½ cupraspberries, peaches)
Method

Combine the cooked quinoa, vanilla almond milk, ground flax seed, agave nectar, and vanilla extract in a small saucepan or pot.

Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it reaches a porridge-like consistency and is warmed through.

Transfer the porridge to a serving bowl.

Top with chopped or slivered almonds and fresh fruit such as strawberries, raspberries, or peaches.

Serve immediately while warm.
