"Raw" Breakfast Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • c. Organic rolled oats (technically
    not raw)
    1 1/2 unit
  • Organic flax seeds
    1 Tbsp
  • Your favorite grain/nut milk
    purified water, or a combination.
    1 unit
  • Organic fruit (optional
    albeit a good option!)
    1 unit

Method

Measure 1½ cups of organic rolled oats into a large bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of organic flax seeds and stir to combine.

Pour 1 cup of grain or nut milk (or a combination of milk and purified water) over the oat and flax seed mixture. Stir well to ensure all oats are moistened.

Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight, allowing the oats to soften and absorb the liquid without cooking.

Remove from refrigerator and stir the oatmeal, adding more milk or water if needed to reach desired consistency.

Divide the oatmeal evenly among 4 serving bowls. Top with fresh organic fruit if desired and serve immediately.
