Combine the uncooked rice, water, and a pinch of salt in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until the rice is tender and the water is fully absorbed.

While the rice is cooking, remove the frankfurters from the package and slice them into 1/2-inch rounds, or leave them whole depending on your preference.

Melt the butter or margarine in a large skillet over medium heat, swirling the pan to coat the surface evenly.
