The Easiest Fruit Spread Ever
This may be obvious to everyone else, but I've just discovered how to make lovely "fruit butter."

Ingredients
- 1 lbs
- each water to cover1 unit
Method

Place the dried apricots in a heavy-bottomed saucepan or pot.

Add water to cover the dried fruit completely, ensuring it is fully submerged.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.

Reduce heat to medium and simmer until the fruit is very soft and breaks apart easily when pressed with a spoon.

Mash the softened fruit with a potato masher or fork until the desired texture is reached—smooth or chunky based on preference.

Stir well to combine and remove from heat. The residual heat will continue to thicken the spread as it cools.

Transfer the fruit spread to a clean jar or storage container and allow to cool completely before serving or refrigerating.
