Slow-cooked Garlic Turkey
Slow-cooked turkey with a strong garlic presence. Serves 4 to 6.

Method

Season the boneless turkey thighs with salt and pepper or lemon pepper to taste on all sides.

Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven or heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Place the seasoned turkey thighs in the hot oil and sear for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown, then transfer to a plate.

Add the whole garlic cloves to the same pot and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fragrant.

Deglaze the pot by pouring in the dry white wine and scraping up any browned bits from the bottom with a wooden spoon.

Return the turkey thighs to the pot and pour in the chicken broth, ensuring the meat is mostly submerged.

Bring the liquid to a simmer, then cover the pot with a lid and reduce heat to low.

Slow-cook for approximately 3 hours (180 minutes) until the turkey is very tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.
