Ingredients

  • juice from three oranges
    1 unit
  • of rum
    2 tbsp
  • bee's honey
    ¾ cup
  • of powder of cinnamon
    1 tsp

Method

Peel the ripe plantains by cutting off the ends and making shallow lengthwise cuts through the skin, then peel away the skin with your fingers or a knife.

Slice the peeled plantains into ¼-inch thick rounds on a cutting board, working carefully to maintain even thickness.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and arrange the plantain slices in a single layer, cooking until golden brown on the first side.

Flip the plantain slices and cook until golden brown on the second side.

Transfer the cooked plantain slices to a serving dish or baking pan, arranging them in an even layer.

Combine the orange juice, rum, honey, and cinnamon powder in a small saucepan and stir well to blend the ingredients.

Heat the orange-honey mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it reaches a gentle simmer.
