Method

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Pit and quarter the plums, then place them in a baking dish or individual ramekins.

Drizzle the water over the plums and set aside.

Combine the whole wheat pastry flour, rolled oats, and cane sugar in a bowl.

Add the vegan margarine and peanut butter to the dry ingredients, using a fork or your fingertips to work the mixture until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs.

Distribute the crumble topping evenly over the plums, pressing gently to form a loose, chunky layer.

Bake for 25 minutes until the crumble is golden brown and the plum filling is bubbling at the edges.
