- pt fresh figs - (abt 8 to 12) stems trimmed1 unithalved lengthwise
Method

Select 4-6 ripe, fresh figs and gently rinse them under cool water, then pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
2 minutes
2
Using a sharp knife, trim the stem end of each fig and score a shallow cross into the top of each one, cutting about one-third of the way down to allow the honey to seep in.

3
In a small saucepan over low heat, warm 3-4 tablespoons of honey, stirring gently until it becomes fluid and fragrant. Do not allow it to boil.
3 minutes
4
Arrange the scored figs upright on a serving plate or shallow dish, gently pressing open the scored tops to create a blossom-like presentation.
2 minutes
5
Slowly drizzle the warm honey sauce over and into each fig, ensuring it flows into the scored crevices for deep flavor penetration.
2 minutes
6
Allow the figs to rest at room temperature so the honey sauce fully infuses into the fruit before serving.

Serve immediately as a garnish or accompaniment to a tropical cocktail, or enjoy as a standalone honey-kissed treat.
