Melt butter in a 9x13 inch baking dish in the preheating oven, about 2-3 minutes.

In a mixing bowl, combine self-rising flour, white sugar, and milk, stirring until just combined and smooth.

Pour the flour mixture evenly over the melted butter in the baking dish without stirring.

Distribute blueberries evenly over the batter, then gently stir the mixture until blueberries are partially incorporated and batter rises around the fruit.

Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the cake portion comes out clean.
