Chop the chocolate bars into small pieces to ensure even melting, or use the Nesquik powder as is.

Pour the sweetened condensed milk into a heavy-bottomed saucepan or cooking pot over medium heat.

Add the chopped chocolate or Nesquik powder to the saucepan and stir constantly to combine with the milk.

Stir in the vanilla extract or vanilla sugar, mixing thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.

Continue stirring over medium heat until the mixture thickens and reaches a fudge-like consistency that pulls away slightly from the sides of the pan.

Pour the hot fudge mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet or shallow dish and allow it to cool for 2–3 minutes until it begins to firm up.
