How To Make Skor Bars!

- 1 cup
- 1 cup
- 1/2 tsp
- of unsalted soda crackers1 package
- of milk chocolate chips1 package
- cookie sheet and tinfoil1 unit

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil, then arrange a single layer of crackers (such as saltines or graham crackers) to cover the entire surface.

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter and brown sugar, stirring constantly until the butter is fully melted and the mixture begins to bubble.

Continue cooking the butter and brown sugar mixture, stirring continuously, until it reaches a full rolling boil and thickens into a smooth toffee sauce, approximately 3 minutes.

Remove the saucepan from heat and carefully stir in the baking soda, which will cause the mixture to foam slightly and lighten in color, creating an airy toffee texture.

Immediately pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the arranged crackers, using a spatula to spread it into an even layer that coats every cracker.

Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the toffee layer is bubbling vigorously and has deepened to a rich caramel color.

Remove the pan from the oven and allow the skor bars to cool at room temperature for 10 minutes, then transfer to the refrigerator to set completely.
