Tamarind Lemonade Concentrate
A lemonade beverage concentrate designed to be served by the glass, mixed with several parts water. The tamarind isn't really necessary and can be left out without changing the other ingredients.

- one (1) cup tamarind concentrate1 unit
- sugar (or20 teaspoonsif for example using a stevia or other sweetener mixture that is four times as sweet as sugar, five (5) teaspoons of sweetener)
- 1 unit
Method

Pour the water into a large pot or pitcher and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, or use room-temperature water if preferred.

Add the tamarind concentrate to the water and stir well until fully dissolved, breaking up any clumps.

Stir in the lemon juice and mix thoroughly until combined.

Add the sugar (or 5 teaspoons of sweetener if using a product four times as sweet as sugar) and stir until completely dissolved.

Taste the concentrate and adjust sweetness or tartness as desired by adding more sugar or lemon juice.

Allow the concentrate to cool to room temperature if using hot water, then transfer to bottles or jars for storage.

To serve, dilute 2–4 tablespoons of concentrate per 8 ounces of cold water, adjusting to taste preference, and serve over ice.
