Decide whether you want a hot or cold mocha milk drink, then gather your ingredients: instant coffee powder and milk.

Measure 1 to 2 teaspoons of instant coffee powder into a cup or tall glass depending on your desired coffee strength.

For a hot drink, heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat or in a microwave until steaming but not boiling, about 2 to 3 minutes. For a cold drink, keep the milk chilled in the refrigerator.

Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of warm water to the instant coffee powder in the cup and stir vigorously until the powder is completely dissolved with no lumps remaining.
