Quick make Canadan Hot choclate La Sleep

This recipe is quick to make and enjoyable. It did not come from Canada but tastes it too. Plus : You only have to microwave it.

Ingredients

  • of 1% lowfat milk
    1 cup
  • of Hersey's syrup
    1 1/2 tablespoons
  • of Coffee Mate French Vanilla
    2 tablespoons
  • of Country Kitchen Maple Syrup
    1 tablespoon

Method

Heat 8 ounces of milk or water in a small saucepan over medium heat until steaming but not boiling, or microwave in a large mug for approximately 90 seconds.

Add 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder and 2 tablespoons of sugar to the hot liquid, stirring vigorously until fully dissolved and no lumps remain.

Pour the hot chocolate mixture into a tall highball glass or large mug, filling it about three-quarters full.

Add a generous handful of mini marshmallows on top of the hot chocolate, allowing them to begin melting slightly on the surface.

Optional: add a splash of cream or a small pat of butter on top for extra richness, stirring gently to incorporate.

Dust lightly with a pinch of cinnamon or cocoa powder over the marshmallows for a finishing garnish.

Serve immediately while hot, using a long spoon to stir the marshmallows into the drink as you sip.
