Ingredients

  • 5 cups
  • x 3-ounce bars milk chocolate
    chopped
    5 unit
  • + 1 cup chilled whipping cream
    ΒΌ cup
  • 1 tablespoon
  • prepared caramel sauce
    3 tablespoons

Method

Pour water into a large saucepan and bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped milk chocolate to the boiling water and stir constantly until fully melted and smooth, about 2-3 minutes.

Reduce heat to low and simmer the chocolate mixture for another 2-3 minutes to allow flavors to meld without scorching.

Pour the hot chocolate into four serving cups, filling each about three-quarters full.

Pour 1/4 cup of chilled whipping cream into a shallow bowl and whip with a hand mixer or whisk until soft peaks form, about 1-2 minutes.

Fold the powdered sugar into the whipped cream gently until combined.

Drizzle 3/4 tablespoon of prepared caramel sauce into each cup of hot chocolate, stirring gently to create swirls rather than fully blending.

Top each cup with a dollop of the sweetened whipped cream and serve immediately.
