Ingredients

  • fresh fruit (strawberries
    blueberries or peaches)
    1 1/2 cups
  • nonfat dry milk powder mixed with 1/2 cup water
    or 1/2 cup skim milk
    1/4 cup
  • vanilla low-fat yogurt
    1/4 cup
  • ice cubes crushed
    4 unit

Method

Rinse the fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, or peaches) under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Remove any stems or pits and cut larger fruits into chunks.

Combine the nonfat dry milk powder with 1/2 cup water in a measuring cup, stirring until smooth and well incorporated. Alternatively, use 1/2 cup skim milk directly if preferred.

Add the prepared fruit, milk mixture, vanilla low-fat yogurt, and crushed ice cubes to a blender.

Blend on high speed for 60 to 90 seconds until the mixture reaches a smooth, uniform consistency with no visible ice chunks.

Divide the shake evenly among four glasses and serve immediately while still cold and frothy.
