Ingredients
- 1 cup
- qt. boiling water2 unit
- pt. lemon juice1 unit
- x 750 ml bottle cognac1 unit
- x 750 ml bottle dark rum1 unit
- cinnamon sticks and whole cloves (optional)1 unit

Combine brown sugar with 2 quarts of boiling water in a large heatproof punch bowl or pot, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.

Add 1 pint of lemon juice to the sugar water, stirring well to incorporate.

Pour the 750 ml bottle of cognac into the mixture, stirring gently to combine.

Pour the 750 ml bottle of dark rum into the mixture, stirring gently to combine.

If desired, add cinnamon sticks and whole cloves to the punch for additional spice and aroma.

Allow the punch to steep for 5-10 minutes so the flavors meld together, then taste and adjust sweetness or strength if needed.
