Hull and slice 2 cups of fresh strawberries, then spread them on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 1 hour until solid.
60 minutes
2
Prepare your serving glasses by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping each rim into coarse sugar or a sugar-salt mixture to coat evenly.
2 minutes
3
Place the frozen strawberries into a blender along with 3 tablespoons of fresh lime juice and 2 tablespoons of sugar or simple syrup.
2 minutes
4
Add 1 cup of crushed ice to the blender, then blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and slushy with no large ice chunks remaining.
2 minutes
5
Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or lime juice as needed, blending briefly to incorporate.
1 minutes
6
If the mixture is too thick, add a small splash of water or lime juice and blend again; if too thin, add a few more frozen strawberries or ice and blend until the desired consistency is reached.
2 minutes
7
Pour the frozen strawberry mixture carefully into the prepared rimmed glasses, filling each to just below the rim.
1 minutes
8
Garnish each glass with a fresh strawberry slice and a small lime wedge on the rim, then serve immediately.
