Method

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Combine the brown sugar and broken walnut meats in a bowl, mixing until evenly distributed.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Beat the eggs together until well combined, then add them to the walnut-sugar mixture and stir thoroughly.

Fold the flour mixture into the walnut-egg mixture until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Drop small spoonfuls of batter onto an ungreased baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart to allow for spreading.

Bake for 12 minutes, until the wafers are light golden brown and set at the edges.
