The Five-cent Cookie

Spread a thin layer of peanut butter on the flat side of one sugar cookie.

Press a second sugar cookie flat-side down onto the peanut butter, creating a sandwich.

Spread additional peanut butter around the edge of the sandwich where the two cookies meet.

Roll the peanut butter-coated edge in the coarsely chopped peanuts until fully coated.

Repeat steps 1-4 with the remaining sugar cookie and fillings to complete the second sandwich cookie.

Arrange the finished five-cent cookies on a serving plate and serve immediately.
