- egg Beaters egg substitute1/4 cup
- buttermilk or soured milk1 3/4 cups

Method
1
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with butter or margarine.
2
Whisk together unbleached flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl until evenly combined.
3
Stir in Splenda sugar substitute and golden raisins (or black raisins) into the dry ingredients, mixing until the raisins are well distributed.
4
In a separate bowl, whisk together egg Beaters egg substitute, buttermilk (or soured milk), and melted butter or margarine until well combined.
5
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula until just combined into a shaggy dough; do not overmix.
6
Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet and shape it into a round loaf approximately 7 inches in diameter, pressing gently with floured hands if needed.
7
Using a sharp knife, score an X across the top of the loaf, cutting about 1/4 inch deep to help the bread bake evenly.
8
Bake for 45 minutes until the loaf is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs.
