Ham and Cheese Bread
This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Hoffman Estate in Grand Prairie, Texas in 1992.

- fully cooked smoked ham cut up1 cup

- margarine melted3 tablespoons
Method

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F and lightly grease a 9-inch round baking pan with margarine or cooking spray.

Combine the baking mix, instant minced onion, and shredded cheddar cheese in a large mixing bowl.

Whisk together the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and prepared mustard in a separate bowl until well blended.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix the batter.

Fold the chopped ham into the batter until evenly distributed throughout.

Transfer the batter to the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Brush the melted margarine over the top of the batter and sprinkle the sesame seeds evenly across the surface.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until the bread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 5 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool slightly.
