    chopped roughly

  • pickling onions
    peeled and left whole

  • button mushrooms
    whole or cut in half if they are large

  • red wine (whatever you prefer
    I usually use a blend)

  • beef stock
    125 ml
  • salt and pepper

  • fresh thyme
    1 teaspoon
