Description

Pico de Gallo [1] [2] is a traditional simple fresh salsa.


Ingredients

  • 4 large ripe Roma tomatoes, cored, seeded, and diced small
  • 1/2 cup finely diced white onion
  • 1/2 medium serrano chile, minced
  • 1/2 cup loosely packed, roughly chopped cilantro leaves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice


Procedures

  1. Combine all ingredients ~1 hour before serving so the veggies can marinate together.
  2. Taste and alter with salt or lime juice.
