Description
A very old fashioned Dutch drink. This was usually served to women who had just given birth.
Ingredients
- 10 egg yolks
- 1 bottle of white berry wine
- 5cm cinnamon stick
- 3 cloves
- small piece of lemon peel
- 175gr. Sugar
Procedures
Put the herbs and the lemon peel with a little bit of water on a low heat for a few hours.
Mix the egg yolks with the Sugar in a heated bowl until it is foamy. Add the herb extract, mix well. Then add the wine whilst stirring well. Place the mixture on top of a boiling pan of water and keep stirring until it binds.
Serve hot.
