  1. Wash then boil pumpkin in water (just sufficient to cover pumpkin) for about 15–20 minutes.
  2. Test with fork for doneness.
  3. Cut up or dice pumpkin about ½" size.
  4. Use water for cooking rice.
  5. Heat pot.
  6. Add fat, fry rice, stirring frequently.
  7. Add salted water.
  8. Let vegetables steam, on top of rice, pumpkin, tomato, onion and green peas.
  9. Cook another 10 – 20 minutes or until rice is tender and dried.
  10. Stir in vegetables.
  11. Serves well with any meat dish.
