Description
Golden banana fritter known as "maruya" in the Philippines.
Ingredients
- 1½ cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- ¾ cup evaporated milk
- ¼ cup water
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 6 ripe saba bananas cut into half
- 1 cup cooking oil
- brown sugar (for sprinkling)
- 1½ teaspoon vanilla
