Sajan Leaves Soup with Fish

  • 5 cups water
  • 2 medium ripe tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 small Onion, sliced thinly
  • 1 small bunch saijan/drumstick leaves (from about 10 stalks), removed from stalks
  • 10 small slices flesh
  • 8 pieces cumquat, juice extracted
  • salt to taste


1. In a cooking pot, put water, tomatoes and Onion. Let mixture boil.

2. Add saijan leaves. Bring back to boil.

3. Add and cook for a few minutes or until done.

4. Add cumquat juice and salt to balance the sour taste.

5. Serve hot.
