Oblong Cake with Sour Cherries
In Romanian: Chec cu visine
- 2 cups pitted and drained sour cherries
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1½ cups flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Mix the eggs with the sugar about a half hour.
- Add oil and vanilla and mix well, then add flour.
- Place ⅓ of this mixture into the bread pan, put 1 cup of sour cherries over it, cover with ⅓ of the mixture, add another cup of sour cherries over this and finally, place the last ⅓ of the mixture on top.
- Bake at medium heat.
