  1. Drain beans.
  2. Sauté onions and garlic in hot oil until onions are transparent and soft.
  3. Add beans, chilies, and salt.
  4. Continue sautéing about 5 minutes more.

Variation[edit]

  1. Dried beans may be used.
  2. Soak 1 cup beans overnight.
  3. Simmer until tender.
  4. Drain.
