Cheyenne Batter Bread



  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Bring milk to a boil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Gradually stir in cornmeal and cook, stirring.
  4. Beat in egg yolks, butter and seasonings.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites .
  6. Fold whites into corn mixture and pour into a 2-quart baking dish.
  7. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes .
