California Avocado Far East Dip
Description
Ingredients
- 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 1 ½ Tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 Tbsp ginger, peeled and minced
- 3 Serrano chiles, minced
- 3 Tbsp cilantro, minced
- 2 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1 ½ Tbsp lime juice, fresh
- 3 large, ripe California avocados, seeded, peeled and mashed
- salt, to taste
- Fried wontons
Procedures
Cook the Onion in vegetable oil over medium heat until Onion is golden brown.
In a food processor work bowl fitted with the steel blade, process the Onion, ginger, chile, cilantro, sesame oil and lime juice until the mixture is finely minced. Do not over process.
Remove the Onion mixture from the bowl and combine it with the mashed California avocado. Season with salt.
Serve immediately with fried wontons.
