Oriental Hot N Sour Soup (Keith's Version)

Ingredients
- chicken brothcups
- fresh ginger root, unpeeledslices
- whole black peppercornstsp
- green onions, sliced diagonally
- red pepper, cut in strips
- mushrooms, slicedcup
- canned bamboo shoots, drained and cut into thin stripscup
- rice wine vinegarcup
- dried chili pepperstsp
- sesame oiltsp
Method

Bring broth, ginger root, and peppercorns to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes.

Strain broth and discard spices.

Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes or until vegetables are just tender.

To serve, ladle into soup bowls over hot, cooked brown rice.
