Ingredients
- red kidney beans1 candrained
- black beans1 candrained
- crushed tomatoes2 cans
- can of tomato paste1 small
- garlic2 clovesdiced
- onion1 mediumchopped
- green bell pepper1 mediumchopped
- red bell pepper1 mediumchopped
- olive oil or vegetable oil2 tbsp
- chili powder1 tsp
- cayenne pepper1/2 tsp
- thyme1 tspbasil, oregano, or other spice
Method

Heat oil over medium-high heat in a large pan.

Add garlic and onion and cook until the onion is translucent (more clear than white).

Add peppers and saute for a few minutes. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and spices.

When mixture is bubbling, reduce heat to simmer and add beans. Cover and simmer for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally. The longer it simmers, the better it tastes.
