  • bulgar wheat (cous cous works very well as a substitute
    or rice if gluten free)
    1/4 cup
  • finely chopped garlic

  • flour
    1/4 cup
  • baking powder
    1 tsp
  • ground cumin
    1 tsp
  • ground coriander
    1 tsp
  • tumeric
    1/2 tsp
  • fresh ground black pepper

  • salt

  • juice of one lemon

  • chili powder or equivalent hot sauce
    1/4 tsp
  • tbs tahini (sesame paste)

  • onion
    finely diced

  • oil for frying
