Method

1
Measure out all ingredients and ensure you have ice cubes ready. Chill your serving glasses in the freezer for at least 10 minutes before preparation.
10 minutes
2
Add approximately 2 cups of ice cubes to the blender as your base layer. The amount of ice will determine the thickness of your final frozen dessert drink.
1 minutes
3
Pour in 4 ounces of piña colada mix over the ice cubes. This provides the creamy coconut-pineapple foundation of the drink.
1 minutes
4
Add 2 ounces of rum to the blender. Adjust the amount to taste preference or desired alcohol strength.
1 minutes
5
Pour in 1 ounce of sweet and sour mix to balance the sweetness of the piña colada mix with a citrusy tartness. Adjust the ratio to suit your preferred flavor balance.
1 minutes
6
Secure the blender lid tightly and blend on high speed until the mixture reaches a smooth, uniformly icy and creamy consistency with no large ice chunks remaining.
2 minutes
7
Taste the blended mixture and adjust ingredients as needed, adding more sweet and sour mix for tartness, piña colada mix for sweetness, or ice for a thicker texture. Blend again briefly if adjustments are made.
1 minutes
8
Pour the frozen mixture into the chilled serving glasses and serve immediately. Garnish optionally with a pineapple slice or cherry for presentation.
