Ingredients

  • ground black pepper
    1 tsp
  • (60ml) water
    1/4 cup
  • (60ml) sugar
    1/4 cup
  • lemon juice (optional)
    1 tsp

Method

Combine pepper, water, sugar and lemon in a saucepan and heat slowly until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is a light-brown colour.

Remove from heat and let cool for one hour.
