Gather all ingredients: grenadine, peppermint schnapps, and rum. Ensure all bottles are chilled and your mixing vessel is clean and dry.

Measure 1 oz of grenadine and pour it into the bottom of a chilled shot glass or mixing glass. Allow it to settle as the base layer.

Carefully pour 1 oz of peppermint schnapps slowly over the back of a bar spoon held just above the grenadine to create a distinct second layer. Avoid disturbing the grenadine beneath.

Using the same layering technique, slowly pour 1 oz of rum over the back of a bar spoon to form the final top layer. Precision and a slow pour are essential to maintain separation.

Allow the layered drink to rest undisturbed for approximately one minute so the layers fully stabilize and settle into distinct bands.

Serve immediately as a layered shot or cocktail, advising consumption with caution given the strong combination of flavors and alcohol content.
