Combine sifted flour, sifted custard powder, and sugar in a large mixing bowl, stirring until evenly distributed.

Pour the melted soft butter into the dry mixture and stir until a dough forms and all flour is incorporated.

Allow the dough to cool slightly until it is comfortable to handle, approximately 2–3 minutes.

Divide the dough into small portions (approximately 20–24 pieces) and roll each into a ball, then gently press into individual tartlet molds, using a small patty pan or tart tin.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Transfer the tartlet molds onto a baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until the shells are light golden brown and set.

Remove from the oven and allow the dan ta to cool in the molds for 2–3 minutes before carefully unmolding onto a wire rack.

Cool completely to room temperature before serving.
