Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan and set aside.

Cream together softened butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Add eggs one at a time to the butter mixture, beating well after each addition. Pour in vanilla extract and mix until fully incorporated.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking cocoa, and salt.

Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
