Purchased from the Van Sickle Estate in Mabank, Texas in 1990. Notation on card indicates this was Mimi's favorite cookie. Dated 1959.

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mash the 3 large bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth, then stir in the 1/3 cup peanut oil and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until well combined.

Add the 1/4 teaspoon salt to the banana mixture and stir to incorporate.

Fold in the 1-1/2 cups rolled oats and 1/2 cup oat bran until evenly distributed throughout the wet ingredients.

Stir in the 1-1/2 cups mixed dried fruits and 3/4 cup chopped pecans, mixing until the dough is uniform.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 12-15 minutes until the cookies are golden brown on the edges and set in the center.

Remove from the oven and allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
