This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Legmen Estate in Jacksonville, Texas in 1991.

1
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2
Combine the softened cream cheese and butter in a bowl, then beat together until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
3
Add the sugar to the cream cheese mixture and beat until well combined and creamy.
4
Gradually stir in the flour until a dough forms, making sure no dry flour remains.
5
Fold the finely chopped pecans into the dough until evenly distributed throughout.
6
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
7
Bake for 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown and the centers are set.

Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
