Ingredients

  • plain (non - self raising) Flour
    2 cups
  • sugar
    1 cup
  • golden syrup (cane syrup)
    4 tablespoons
  • desiccated coconut
    1 cup
  • rolled oats
    2 cups
  • butter or margarine
    225 grams

Method

Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, and melt the syrup and butter in a saucepan. If necessary add a little water to the mix.

Mix the wet and dry ingredients and roll into small balls and flatten on oven trays

Bake at 150°C (300°F) for about 15 minutes.
