Ingredients
- non-dairy shortening½ cup
- non-dairy margarine½ cup
- brown sugar1 cup
- a banana½ unit
- vegan chocolate chips8-12 oz
- (5ml) baking powder2 tsp
- (5ml) salt1 tsp
- flour (whole wheat pastry flour recommended but all-purpose white also works)2 cups

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

Cream shortening, margarine, and sugar together in a mixer.

Add banana to the sugar and butter mixture.

Mix all the dry ingredients together. Slowly add to the wet mixture.

Add chocolate chips.

Roll small portions into balls and place on a cookie sheet.

Bake 10-11 minutes, or until slightly browned.
