Method
1
Combine chocolate wafer crumbs with ⅓ cup melted butter in a bowl, mixing until the texture resembles wet sand. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x9-inch baking pan to form an even crust.
2
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
10 minutes
3
Cream together the ½ cup softened butter and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.
4
Stir the instant coffee into the melted semisweet chocolate morsels until dissolved, then blend this mixture into the creamed butter and eggs. Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
5
Fold the flour gently into the chocolate mixture until just combined, then fold in the coarsely chopped pecans until evenly distributed. Pour the batter over the prepared wafer crust.
6
Bake for 25 minutes until the top appears set but the center still has a slight jiggle when the pan is gently shaken.

7
Remove the pan from the oven and allow it to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour until completely chilled and firm.
8
Cut the fudge into jumbo squares or desired portion sizes using a sharp, warm knife (wipe between cuts for clean edges).
9
Transfer the fudge pieces to a serving platter and top each with a small dollop of sweetened whipped cream, a drizzle of chocolate syrup, a maraschino cherry with stem, and a mint sprig for garnish.
