- Extra flour to make a silky smooth dough1 unit
Method

Combine 3 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a large mixing bowl.

Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and pour in 1/2 cup coconut cream and 2 tablespoons melted margarine.

Mix the ingredients together gently using your fingertips until a rough dough forms, then gradually add extra flour (about 1 cup or as needed) while kneading until the dough becomes silky smooth and no longer sticky.

Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape each into a round, flat cake approximately 1/2 inch thick.

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.

Place the shaped dough cakes on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly apart.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the cakes are golden brown and a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean.
