Ingredients

  • (240ml) natural bran
    1 cup
  • (180ml) butter milk
    3/4 cup
  • egg
    1 unit
  • margarine
    2 tablespoons
  • (240ml) all-purpose flour
    1 cup
  • baking powder
    1 teaspoon
  • baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon
  • salt
    1/2 teaspoon
  • (120ml) brown sugar
    1/2 cup

Method

Stir Bran and Butter Milk together in a mixing bowl.

Combine Egg, Brown Sugar and Margarine in another mixing bowl.

Stir remaining ingredients in a third bowl. Add to batter.

Stir just to moisten.

Fill muffin cups 3/4 full.

Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 to 20 minutes.
