Ingredients

  • warm water. about 100 degrees (38.00 C). try one cup per pizza. If the batter is thin and runny like pancake batter
that's too much water, so add a little flour to thicken it. If you can touch the batter with your finger and not stick to it, that's too dry, so add a little water
    1 unit
  • flour about 2 cups per pizza. Note that it must be at least 60%-70% white flour. It would be heavy and wouldn't rise as much if you get too much whole wheat and cornmeal in the batter.
    1 unit
  • yeast. a 1/4 oz package in the grocery store makes about 2 12" pizzas.
    1 unit
  • sugar. you need very little for the yeast
but about 1 tablespoon per pizza tastes good,

  • salt. very little; a few shakes from the salt shaker is enough for 1 pizza.
    1 unit
  • vegetable
corn, or canola oil. about .1 to .2 cup per pizza.

Method

1
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease a round baking pan or pizza stone with a thin layer of oil.
10 minutes
2
Combine cornmeal with a pinch of salt and enough warm water to bring the mixture together into a firm, workable dough, kneading until smooth and cohesive.
8 minutes
3
Press and spread the cornmeal dough evenly onto the prepared pan, forming a flat round base approximately 1/4 inch thick with slightly raised edges.
5 minutes
4
Sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over the surface of the dough base, pressing them gently so they adhere.
2 minutes
5
Prepare your chosen vegetables by washing, trimming, and slicing them into thin, uniform pieces suitable for even cooking.
7 minutes
6
Arrange the sliced vegetables evenly across the dough base, drizzling lightly with vegetable oil to promote caramelization during baking.
3 minutes
7
Place the assembled pizza in the preheated oven and bake until the crust is golden and firm and the vegetables are tender and lightly charred at the edges.
20 minutes
8
Remove the pizza from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm.
